I look for passion, integrity and curiosity.
I wake up in the morning to get people excited about new music.
I do this with a team and a website sometimes called "a juggernaut of global influence" [Billboard], and sometimes Hype Machine. If you are human, you can email me.
What do you look for? Why do you wake up?
If it’s like that, why bother? Not only why would someone read it, but why even write it?
What’s on their mind? This bewilders me and Zoya.

I 100% agree with your sentiment, but would having 1,000,000,000 blogs all the with the tagline “THE BEST BLOG EVAR!!!” really be any better?

I’m inclined to blame Wordpress for the phrasing, if not the spirit, of the declaration: “Just Another Wordpress Weblog” has been the default subhead of Wordpress installs for years. Nice thought to give people as they start off…
