Interesting what happens to your online media usage when it’s billed by the megabyte.
Free MP3s are no longer free, they are now $0.05 - $0.09c each (the rate for this plan of EDGE internet is $1/day + $0.01 for each MB transferred).
Streaming audio and Youtube is a lot less appealing too. It’s cheaper ($0.03 - $0.05c/song or video) and works better with caching, but still not as exciting.
Software updates demand more consideration - should I really bother with this Adium update? It’s 40MB (or 60? I forget) so takes a while at 25-30KB/s and also $0.40!
Couldn’t resist this new Mogwai song though via Fred Wilson and Chromewaves. $0.10!
