Holy shit! - This video for Kap10Kurt - Dangerseekers is awesomer than awesome! Watch.
Whenever a conversation goes to conspiracies and secrets, I can’t help but think of this clip in the Cube (a must-see, btw). The reality is usually simpler and more disappointing than the grand plans people imagine. Though I agree, some of the theories out there would make excellent films.
Can we stop talking about NIN / Radiohead and...
At SXSW, it was hard to avoid a conversation about the new models of distribution/sales/etc demonstrated by the new NIN and Radiohead records. Those conversations would usually disregard the actual music (that’s important right?) and that what NIN and R have done is of limited significance to nearly all other artists and music-related businesses out there. Very few other acts have sold...
SXSW Reminds me of What's Possible
Wanted to write this post for days, but couldn’t put my finger on exactly what one thing made SXSW worth it all. As I was telling friends about it, I caught myself explaining that SXSW is a powerful reminder of what’s possible. Powerful, because the people doing amazing things are right next to you, you can meet them, talk, get drinks and see amazing music with them. You really get...

Normally, I’d hate a list like this, but this is a good read if you ignore the order.
SXSW
is 500% of what I expected and more. So many thoughts about authenticity, passion, balance and creativity, so many incredible people, so many conversations and we haven’t even gotten to the music.

On the way home, sitting across from a young woman in black high-top Nikes with the orange swoosh, ripped faded black jeans, a short fake-fur coat and flowing black hair playing on her DS with a stylus, holding it like a book.
Sat across from her earlier this evening heading into Manhattan. She was on her DS with the same relaxed but focused poise.
This must be a bug in the system.
Gave up trying to download the NIN release from their site, getting it from a torrent, even though paid $5 — a polite reminder on scaling
