Big Changes vs Iteration
Jakob Lodwick wrote about several approaches to rebuilding & improving a web project: When judging any human behavior, it’s important to examine the default approach; ie, what do people do, in that context, when they have not given careful thought to their work? In the case of development, “relaunches” are the default. If you aren’t careful — if you don’t...
"Transparency" is for the Bold Elite
Peter Knox’s popular “Transparency Manifesto” boldly proclaims: This is my website. If you don’t want to hire me for this transparency, maybe I don’t want to work for you. If you don’t want to date me for this exposure, maybe I don’t want to date you. Now that’s punk rock! But it’s also really easy to say it if you are in a certain spot in life. I bet if you are...

Music blogs are killing music
Or maybe, it’s the Internet that is killing music? No, it’s today’s artists, they are worse than ever, so that’s why everyone is in trouble… Interesting blog post on the Guardian music blog: If you love music, stop taking it for free As an exercise, I’ve taken the article and replaced all mentions of “music blogs” and “mp3 blogs” with...
Help me meet "taggedhype", the del.icio.us user of...
Me and the rest of Hype Machine really want to meet the del.icio.us user taggedhype. Because of the small amount of information del.icio.us collects (Yay for privacy, actually), this is harder than finding someone in NYC who just got off the subway. He (she?) managed to create an incredible system that pulls in the Hype Machine RSS feed and then tags it with a variety of highly relevant tags. ...

Welcome!
I’ve never had my own blog, but the simplicty of Tumblr has me sold. This is going to be fun!
